It's me, Molly-Brie (she/they)!

I'm not much a tech person, but I've been toddling my way around HTML and hoarding Pokemon gifs since I was middle school. In the intervening (several) years, I've slipped into the clutches of Web 2.0 and the alluring promises of riches that comes with a graduate degree in poetry. I wanted to build myself a little safe harbor outside monetization here, so this is a website focused on personal stuff rather than the kinds of things that might actually make me money. I believe pretty strongly in keeping hobbies that I'm mediocre at rather than chasing perfection, making mediocre things in a timeline that works for me best, and being happy with that.

Beyond working on this website and relearning how to waste hours to missing /div tags, I spend a decide chunk of my free time putting together (and planning) costumes and painting (mostly 28mm scale) miniatures. I play video games too but unexpected bouts of motion sickness make that a more infrequent joy. (Puzzle games with a static background are pretty OK!)

A lightning round of personal trivia:

• I took four years of Latin
• I've seen all the Hellraiser movies (and love them, even the shitty ones)
• My favorite Final Fantasy era is the SNES era
• I was a vocalist and keyboard player a metal band in high school; I don't know how to play piano
• I used to write poetry -- a lot!
• I'm a trans lesbian -- it's pretty dang cool!
